On 4 December 2023, Civic proudly opened our 5th social enterprise Kitchen and Café service to celebrate International Day of People with Disability. In an exciting new partnership, we are working with St George and Sutherland Shire Community College to provide fresh food and beverage services on the campus grounds five days per week. This is just the start of this exciting partnership, which we hope to expand on throughout 2024.

The Jannali Café provides the opportunity for more employment in the community anddemonstrates Civic’s commitment to providing economic opportunities and meaningful employment for people with disability. People with disability are employed at a far lower rate across the community, and social businesses, such as the Café Civic, are helping to improve these statistics.

Civic’s social enterprise kitchen business is thriving and includes outlets in Caringbah, Engadine, Penrith and Nowra. Commercial catering solutions are available and Civic can support events with a coffee cart service. Commercial Catering solutions are also available and can be delivered to you.

The business model recruits hospitality professionals to work alongside people with disability to support the development of skills and increase their employability in the wider jobs market.

You can visit the Civic Café at Jannali Monday to Friday (7.30am-3.30pm) and Saturday (8am-1pm).
