Congratulations to the Civic 2022 Literacy Program graduates! Over the year, 18 students from across three Civic Community Hubs have been participating weekly in the Literacy Program.

This week a graduation ceremony was held at the Civic New Era Community Hub at Sutherland to celebrate the students’ achievements.

All students have worked hard over the year, writing and reciting the alphabet, learning sight words, sounding out and practicing writing words in dot-to-dot tracing format, as well as gaining an understanding of verbs, adjectives, nouns, colours and adding these words to the sight word groups to form sentences.

Congratulations once again to all students and to the Civic staff who facilitate the program each week.
